What Does an Exercise Physiologist Do?

Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) are university-qualified health professionals who specialise in using exercise to manage and prevent chronic conditions and injuries. What Services Does Your Movement Space Offer?

Ellen provides personalised exercise physiology services that often include:

   • Establishing movement safety and preferences
   • Identifying and addressing barriers to exercise
  • Planning movement engagement both during and outside of sessions where relevant
   • Providing education to help you confidently manage your own exercise routine overtime.

Do You Offer Online or Telehealth Sessions?

Yes! Telehealth sessions are available for all services.

What Should I Expect During My First Session, and What Should I Bring?

Your first session with Ellen will be a relaxed conversation to get to know each other, discuss your goals, and plan the direction of your sessions. If any movement is included, it will be gentle and likely involve a movement assessment.

Please bring:
   • Comfortable clothing that allows for unrestricted movement
   • Any footwear, including sandals
   • A water bottle
   • Any relevant medical reports or referrals

I’m new to exercise. Will the sessions be too intense?

Not at all! Sessions are fully tailored to your comfort level, ensuring they feel safe,manageable, and aligned with your goals. Ellen will offer movement options and encourage you to listen to your body, adjusting as needed.

Can I bring a support person or animal to my session?

Yes! You are welcome to bring a support person or assistance animal to Your Movement Space. Please let Ellen know in advance.

What amenities and access options are available at Your Movement Space?

   • Entry & Stairs: The main entrance has three sets of five steps, each with a landing and handrail. A flat-access entry is available—please inform us in advance if you require it.
   • Seating: The waiting area has a long bench and an armless chair with a weight capacity of over 200 kg. Inside the studio, there is a bench with a weight capacity exceeding 300 kg.
  • Bathroom: A unisex, easily accessible bathroom is located two metres from the waiting area on the same level.

What are the transport and parking options nearby?

There is plenty of nearby street parking, with time limits ranging from 1 to 4 hours. Some spaces require payment via parking meters, while others are free but time-restricted. If you'reunfamiliar with Kirribilli, we recommend arriving 10–15 minutes early to allow time for parking. For those using public transport, Your Movement Space is just a 5-minute walk from Milsons Point train station
